Novica began with a dream... a dream to connect talented artisans all over the world with people that admire their works and care about their stories. When we firsted our office in Brazil, we our dream with artisansand our dream became theirs too!

They dreamed big, and so did we. Weed offices in Peru, Mexico, West Africa, Thailand, Indonesia and India. We reached customers around the world and empowered thousands of artisans! And in an amazing feat of collaboration, in 2010 Novica's mission welcomed artisans in Central America.

The dream isn't over, we're still inventing new ways our oldest region, Brazil , and the youngest, Central America .through thisand enjoy 10% savings on select items from Brazil and Central America.

Amongst Novica's regional offices, the one in Central America is special to us in that as a dream, it became a reality thanks to your contributions to the New Region Development Fund . Non-profit organizations such as the Grassroots Business Fund (a World Bank affiliate) matched your funds and so in 2010 weed the doors of our office in Guatemala.

From there, our talented team has been busy working with artisans from Guatemala and El Salvador, and they are making plans to reach artisans in more Central America countries, birthplace of the Maya civilization. It is generally accepted that the Maya were the first to use the hammock ... over 1000 years ago! Let's face it, if they devised one of the most precise calendars, built the most amazing pyramids and created an extraordinary writing system, it follows they discovered the sweet art of relaxation!
