Quality: Well built, its got a little weight. Everything is nice and tight keys, buttons, etc. and very dependable. Had mine a little over six months and from day one its been on. Works great with my daw. I have stuff that's supposed to work with my daw and they get glichie. The micron is always ready with a punch.
Features: Everything! Drums, Synths, Bass. You name it, I like it a lot. At first really wasn't an Alesis fan but this monster made a hugh fan. It would be nice if it had a sampler. Great lfos and filters.
Ease of Use: I have yet to look at the manual. I had it up and running in minutes a little exp an you can to.
Sound: Sounds are very agressive and punchy plus the sounds bring a lot of inspiration as far as creativity. I have had synths that cost more and did not deliver like this baby, I love it!
Action: Action is so professional. Keys feel great it was ready as I was.
Value: For the price it's amazing I should not say this but they should charge more but the price is too good to be true for what you are getting. Great board, can't wait for the next one.

The Alesis Micron is a powerful, 8-voice Analog Modeling synthesizer based on the award-winning sound engine of the larger Alesis Ion in a compact 3-octave keyboard offering breakthrough analog realism, high-resolution control, and tremendous value. The Micron is compatible with Ion programs and holds over 1,000 programs and multitimbral setups.
The Micron’s front-panel interface is streamlined to give you full access to its Analog Modeling power while meeting the demanding requirements of real-time performance. Not only synth patches but melodic patterns and drum beats also are available to you in most cases simply bya button and turning a knob. You can create sophisticated rhythms combining up to ten different sounds. You can create really rich setups combining as many as 26 different programs with anywhere from 0 to 26 different rhythms, all simultaneously active.
The Micron offers continuously variable wave shapes, plus sync and FM synthesis. 16 filter types are included, along with 2 LFOs with multiple wave shapes and sample & hold. The Micron has 8-voice polyphony with 3 oscillators per voice, and is 4-part multitimbral. The Micron offers a programmable step sequencer, arpeggiator, rhythm sequencer for drum kits, and dynamic realtime phrase sequencer—all of which sync to MIDI clock. A powerful and intuitive modulation matrix is built in. Effects include a 40 band vocoder that does not use up any polyphony, 4 drive effects, and stereo bus effects, including reverb.
Developed by the same sound design team that programmed the flagship Andromeda synthesizer, the Micron’s presets cover a variety of genres, including many exciting new tonalities, as well as classic synth emulations. Ion programs can be transferred to and from the Micron via MIDI, and more new sounds will also be available from the Alesis website.
This is an exciting time for analog-style synthesizers. After a period of relative neglect brought on by the appearance of sample playback digital synths (which excel at realistic mimicry of various sound sources), the unique sounds of analog-style synths have been rediscovered. Analog Modeled basses dominate certain styles of music, and other analog-type elements – from drums to leads to pads – are frequently heard in contemporary popular music.
Alesis has been at the center of this resurgence. The In-Demand Sounds Every Keyboardist Requires
Focused on the elemental sounds that make up the body of great keyboard playing, the PS60 delivers 440 spectacular, spot-on sounds – with room for plenty more! The sounds are organized into six categories – piano, electric piano, organ, strings, brass and synth – each with dedicated controls making it easy to find just the right sound. Still not sure? The Audition feature plays a quick riff appropriate to the selected sound, allowing you to hear the sound in context and to help you zero in on the one you want. Using the category controls, you can layer up to six sounds, or make split settings at the touch of a button, creating sophisticated blends to suit your performances.
Rippling with Synth Power
For sound creation, the PS60 uses 49 MB of the highest quality, 48 kHz samples. The EDS-i sound engine (Enhanced Definition Synthesis – integrated) provides up to four filters, two amps, five LFOs, and five EGs, used to craft a rich array of stage-ready programs that will both complement and stand out in your band's performance.
Any of 63 effects, including dynamics-type effects and amp modeling KORG's proprietary REMS technology, can be assigned to individual sounds using one of the five insert effects. In addition, two master effects can be applied to the overall sound: a modulation-style effect offering four effect types; and a reverb/delay effect also with four effect types. A dedicated three-band EQ adds the final touch to your sound.
Easy Setup and Performance Control
The PS60 is easy to use. The center and right portions of the panel are primarily for customizing and controlling sounds. Simply use the dedicated Category controls to choose your sounds, and use the Easy Setup area to specify their volume, octave, and effect amounts. Dedicated panel knobs are provided for tweaking the effects and the EQ.
You can also choose to split or layer multiple sounds on the keyboard. These settings are collectively called a Performance, and you can store 20 of them in internal memory. The Performance area to the left side of the panel is used for deeper editing as well as for recalling these Performance settings quickly and easily – even when on stage!
Command and Control
The PS60 provides a variety of controllers to make your performance more expressive. You can produce subtle or drastic pitch and timbral changes by moving the joystick up/down/left/right, and use the octave up/down buttons and transpose buttons to shift the pitch of the keyboard. Two footpedal jacks are provided for use with a damper pedal, footswitch or footpedal, offering hands-free control. When playing organ sounds, an additional dedicated button can switch between fast/slow speeds of the rotary speaker simulator.

The PS60 features a new, richly-expressive keyboard. The semi-weighted, natural-touch keys provide an uncompromising playing feel. Accomplished and would-be keyboardists alike will find the keyboard ready for anything from a piano performance to delivering sizzling synthesizer sounds.

The stand-alone PS60 Editor allows you tosounds in greater detail than is possible from the PS60 itself. Viewing multiple parameters and graphical cues on your computer's screen makes it easy to create full-fledged sounds in any category. The PS60 Plug-In Editor offers all the same features, and lets you use your PS60 as a plug-in synth from within any VST, Audio Units, or RTAS format DAW software system. As a librarian program, the software lets you build up an enormous stash of sounds that you've created on your computer.

The 6505 Plus 112 combo harnesses the full gain and legendary tone of the Peavey 6505 Series, which since 1991 has defined the sounds of extreme rock guitar, into a format that is equally suited to clubs, rehearsal rooms and studios.
