Perfect Feel
Forget your experiences with other controllers. NS7FX has two seven-inch, motorized, high-torque aluminum turntable platters. The turntable controls feature modern and classic settings that alter the feel to model the feel you prefer. Seven-inch, legit vinyl records with 45RPM adapters sit on real slipmats. There's nothing like dropping the needle on a record for quickly locating a point in the track. Numark took that idea and developed their own modern take on it with Strip Search, the unique virtual-needle-drop touch strip. You can locate a point instantly within the track using the on-screen waveform and Strip Search.
Five hot-cue-assign buttons on each deck digitally mark your cues on the track. These marker points are recallable in ITCH and Scratch LIVE, and you can load Scratch LIVE cue points in ITCH.
Numark developed an extensive Serato-style loop section on each deck for creative remix capabilities. You can choose between manual and auto-loop functions and an automatic BPM analyzer further assists loop makers. Creating automatic smart loops of any measure length is a breeze, and you can mutilate and modify to heart’s content with a variety of controls such as Doubling, Halving, Shift, and manual controls. Multiple loop banks per deck make NS7FX a great choice for scratch and club DJs alike.
Beat matching is straight ahead with 100mm, smooth, stiff pitch sliders and plus and minus buttons, by popular request, for bending. There’s a zero-point LED, so it’s easy to know when you’re in the middle.

Unlimited recording tracks = limitless possibilities
SOUND on SOUND is a handy-sized multitrack recorder that lets you play back your song while continuing to overdub more parts. You can overdub as many times as you like, without having to worry about running out of tracks. Pick a rhythm, chop out some guitar chords, lay down a vocal, add some harmonies, play a solo or two, or three or fifty! With the SOS, the possibilities are endless. Used as a sketchpad, SOUND on SOUND allows you to preserve all of your musical ideas, from complex themes to inspired snippets and phrases.
Each overdub is saved individually
SOS saves each of your overdubs separately. These track files are saved as individual WAV files. This allows each overdub to be loaded directly into nearly any DAW software program as an individual track. The individual files are BWF (Broadcast Wave Format) compliant, meaning they contain timing information. So if you had overdubbed a track in the middle of the song, it will automatically align correctly in a BWF-supported DAW. You can also use the Finalize operation to automatically time-align each overdub track. SOUND on SOUND records at 44.1 kHz/16-bit resolution, and recordings are saved onto a convenient and reliable microSD or microSDHC card.
Advanced recording functions - Unlimited undo/redo: SOUND on SOUND allows an unlimited number of undo/redo operations. This is great when you are recording alternate takes of a guitar solo, for example. You can set the SOS to keep all of the undone recordings. This allows you to move all of your recorded tracks even undone tracks to a computer-based DAW system, and then choose the best take.
- Loop recording: The A/B Loop function can repeatedly play back a specified section of the song a great way to practice your instrument or build up your song. In addition, you can even record while looping, creating results similar to a looper effect.
- Sound Stretch: This powerful feature allows you tothe playback speed without affecting the pitch. Sound Stretch can be used during playback or during recording. You can record a difficult passage at a slow speed and then return playback to normal speed. Likewise, you can slow down the entire sound during playback. The playback speed can be set anywhere from 25% to 150% of the original speed.
100 powerful effects
Korg's proprietary REMS modeling technology, the SOS provides 100 effect choices, including effects for electric guitar (such as amp modeling), acoustic guitar, vocals, or any instrument. The effect can be applied as you record, or added to a previously recorded track. In the Master position, the effect can be applied to the entire song. DBX 223 CrossoverPrice Drop!
The dbx 223 is a stereo 2-way or mono 3-way crossover with their typically impressive build quality and prestine audio performance. Let's take a look at the construction features of the dbx 223. At first glance, you'll notice that it looks great. As you turn the controls something else becomes apparent; these units are extremely well built. The controls exude great precision, and the feel is a solid. Also, when youbox, you won't find the external power supply that accompanies most processors in this price range. That's because dbx knows how difficult external power supplies can be to work with and even though it costs a little more they put the high quality power supply right in the unit.
All the inputs and outputs are TRS differentially balanced 1/4 inch jacks that are bolted down to the chassis. This nutting down of the jacks insures that even if someone stomps on a cable plugged into the unit, it's not going to tear up the circuit board inside.
All dbx crossovers all feature Linkwitz-Riley 24 dB per octave filters, the professional standard. But then again, what did you expect?
Via a switch on the back panel, you first select whether you're operating your system in stereo 2-way or mono 3-way. Then you also set, on the back panel, whether or not you want to mono sum the LF (subwoofer) out. (Most systems that use a subwoofer are mono subbed to take advantage of amplifier power and because low frequencies are non-directional.) Back panel switches allow you to select the range of the crossover frequencies individually for both channels. The crossover frequency controls have a green LED that indicates when the x10 switch on the back panel is activated (dbx wouldn't make you check the switch position on the back every time you wonder where it's set). All these switches are on the back panel because it could be disastrous if you were tothem mid-program. On the front panel you'll notice there are LEDs that indicate whether the unit is in mono or stereo mode. Each channel has an input gain control for proper level setting. There's a recessed 40 Hz low cut (HPF) on each channel to remove unwanted low frequencies. Both the low and high outputs on each channel have a gain control ranging fromto +6 dB to allow muting of individual outputs and for level matching. Also, these outputs each have phase reverse switches that will help get you out of a bind without having to reconfigure your system. These phase reverse switches may be internally reconfigured as mute switches.
